Crab Island

Crab Island is visited by many people, especially during the summer and is considered a must-visit by both locals and tourists. Since it is a sandbar, it is shallow so you are not fully under the water. The best way to get to Crab Island is via pontoon boat, as you cannot drive out to Crab Island, nor can you fly there, as it isn’t an actual island. You can also parasail over Crab Island, which is not something many people have done before. Or at least they have not done it quite yet. Make sure to keep a lookout for any marine life that could be in the area while getting to Crab Island.
All American Thursdays and Fireworks at Harborwalk Village
Something they do in the summer and in the month of June is an event called All American Thursdays. A host to many events, there is always something to do at the Harborwalk Village in Destin. Every Thursday in the summer, you can watch a spectacular fireworks show and channel your inner Fourth of July every week. Along with the fireworks, you can catch a variety of entertainment throughout the week at the Harborwalk Village. Note there is a $20 on-site parking, but other than that, you are good to go.
Movie Mondays at Baytowne Wharf
Movie lovers, this one’s for you!. The Village of Baytowne Wharf during the month of June does Movie Mondays, a great event for families! With these free movie Mondays, you can bring a blanket and or a lawn chair and enjoy a wonderful family outing. This is a fun activity to wind down after a long day at the beach. Now, sit back and relax and enjoy the movies.
Beach Bonfire
There are companies in Destin that can build out a bonfire for you right on the beach. At Destin Bonfire Company, you get the luxury of having someone do all the work for you when it comes to building out a fire.. There are a few things to take notice of when hiring the beach bonfire company:first thing is that you need to have a bonfire permit. Since this has to do with fire, you can’t just do it on your own and in public. Once you have requested the bonfire permit, then it takes about 24 hours before approval with the time and location as well as the date. On the day of your bonfire, you will get a confirmation text and email with all you need to know. After that, all you need to do is go to the location and enjoy the bonfire with family and friends.
